One of the UK’s largest steel stockholders has realised savings in the region of £250,000 per annum, following the implementation of a telematics integrated route planning and scheduling solution. The Maxoptra cloud based software, integrated with the WEBFLEET management solution from TomTom Telematics, has helped Industrial Metal Services (IMS) reduce on-road costs, maximise vehicle efficiency and fleet capacity, and boost customer service. The Maxoptra system was implemented in collaboration with TomTom partner, Communicate Better.

Garage door manufacturer, Rollerdor, has implemented Maxoptra dynamic route planning and scheduling software to help with the management of made to measure doors. Operating a nationwide delivery and installation service, Rollerdor has seen significant expansion and expects to deliver in excess of 6,000 custom built doors in 2017. I have to smile when I see some frustrated salesman circulate the above cartoon or similar. It must have been almost 30 years ago when I first saw it, though it’s probably older than that.

On the one hand, I’m sure that to many hopefuls, I’m that annoying prospect who just does not respond to all the overtures made by potential salesman.

Transporting prestigious brands such as Graham & Green and Cox & Cox, Ash Logistics offers a ‘white glove’ delivery service to the whole of mainland UK. Since implementing Maxoptra, the north London based logistics provider has increased its weekly deliveries by nearly 70 percent, and expects this number to double in the busy run up to Christmas.
