Flowervision London have implemented routing and scheduling solution Maxoptra.

The software will help meet their daily challenge of a two hour window to unload stock, pull together orders, plan routes and make sure drivers have their delivery manifests ready to go.

Until recently Flowervision London, part of one of the UK’s leading suppliers of fresh cut flowers, pot plants and florist’s sundries, used to organize orders, plan and schedule jobs with one planner using pen and paper. With a fixed time window putting pressure on the team to organize orders, load vehicles, plan routes and get deliveries on the road, coupled with an increasing customer base, this became untenable. The company needed a solution that could ensure that they could meet this challenge without compromising their customer expectations of ‘order by 10pm for 10am next day delivery’.

“Our priority is our customers,” said Mitch Teitsworth, IT and Technology Manager at Flowervision. “Magenta worked with us to understand what we do so the solution provided works for our business and ensures that we could continue to improve our levels of customer service.”

The company was impressed not only with the technology, its seamless integration with the TomTom webfleet system already implemented by Cogs Fleet Management Ltd and the Magenta team who worked closely with Flowervision to really understand their business.
